In a trial to commemorate its 800th year, Magna Carta was charged with being “irrelevant and obsolete”.

This event was part of the NZ Centre for Public Law’s Landmarks series, commemorating a number of significant legal anniversaries: NZ Bill of Rights Act (25 years, Sep 2015); Treaty of Waitangi Act 1975 (40 years; Oct 2015); Entick v Carrington (250 years; Nov 2015).
